What is it?
Novaria is an experimental operating system designed for
educational purposes.
It uses NVM (Novaria Virtual Machine) to safely execute bytecode.
Novaria has a unique rights management system called CAPS
(CAPabilities). This system manages the rights of
any running process.
The OS already has 13 stars.
Main features
Open-source
Novaria is fully open source, meaning anyone can access, compile, and fork our operating system.
Safe
Thanks to NVM and CAPS, Novaria is extremely safe. NVM is a virtual machine that runs any process, and CAPS is a rights management system.
True Write Once, Run Anywhere
Powered by the built-in NVM. Break free from hardware dependencies. Your applications are compiled for a single, universal environment.
Roadmap
Kernel
The basic kernel is complete.
Dev Ecosystem
Some languages, like C, can compile to NVM bytecode.
Self-hosted environment
In Novaria, you can edit Novaria (e.g., compile a new program).
Advanced Ecosystem
The porting of external applications is underway.
Release
The release has been stabilized. Formal verification. Community Love.
